We are on a quest to improve and streamline the design and build processes by creating, testing, and implementing ways to reduce errors, shrink waste, improve times, and lower costs. Accurate scaled drawings are the language of design and construction. We effectively make use of the latest technology to be able to communicate fluently and translate design needs into livable spaces. Coordination, management and communication systems are necessary to perform well under construction.

We implement and continuously improve our procedures – we are constantly reminded that we are humans and that we must learn from our successes and our mistakes. Our vision is to continue to improve ways of harnessing the information produced from preliminary design to construction completion by digitizing it, managing it, and sharing it intelligently.

First impressions built at an early age

Siblings Rosa and Mariano Velazquez built their first impressions of construction at an early age when their father, who was a general contractor, led them to construction sites and allowed them to spend time in the office while doing design work.

Together they have organized a world-class design studio that has been behind the design and construction drawing production of some of the best architects in Los Angeles since 1999. In 2010 they founded Green Building by Design, Inc. to help home owners with their housing needs.

Since 2014 we have become a California Licensed General Contractor and have been designing, remodeling, and building new homes in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
